Summit installs low-voltage LED landscape lighting systems for paths, plantings, hardscapes, and architectural features — designed to create the right ambiance. We lay wire before hardscape and softscape installation when possible, and we handle everything from fixture selection to controller setup.

Your Outdoor Lighting & Water Feature Questions, Answered

  • "I don't even know where to start. Our backyard was a disaster — a rotting deck, a cracked concrete patio from the 80s, a slope that made half the yard unusable, and drainage that sent water toward the house every time it rained. We knew we wanted to start over but weren't sure one company could handle all of it. Summit could, and did. They demoed the deck and patio, hauled everything out, regraded the entire slope, built retaining walls to create a flat usable space, and brought in fill to level it properly before anything new went in. Then came the patio — large format pavers, beautifully laid — a built-in fire pit with a seating wall, and a recirculating water feature tucked into the corner that you can hear from inside the house with the windows open. The lighting is what gets people. At night this backyard looks like something out of a magazine. Uplighting on the trees, step lighting on every level change, warm light across the patio surface. Greg walked us through every phase before it started and checked in with us constantly while it was happening. The project took two weeks and our backyard went from an embarrassment to the thing we're most proud of about our home. Summit earned every bit of what we paid them."

  • "We had Summit install landscape lighting as part of our patio project and it completely changed how we experience our yard after dark. They thought through every detail — uplighting on the cedar trees along the back, step lighting on every level change, and a warm wash across the patio surface that makes the whole space feel intentional rather than just lit up. The system runs on a smart timer and we haven't touched it since installation. What surprised us most was how they hid every wire and fixture during the day — you don't see the system at all until the sun goes down and then the whole yard transforms."

  • "We asked Summit to add a pondless waterfall along the back fence line and what they built exceeded everything we imagined. The boulders look completely natural, the planting around it fills in beautifully, and the sound of the water carries all the way to our back porch. It runs on a timer and the basin is easy to access for the rare bit of maintenance it needs. Greg was honest with us upfront about what different options would look and sound like at different price points — we never felt upsold. We sit outside every evening now specifically because of that feature. It's the best thing we've ever added to this property."
