Softscape & Planting Expertise
Tree & Shrub Planting
The right plant in the right place changes everything about a property. Summit sources quality trees and shrubs and plants them with the depth, drainage, and spacing that give them the best start. We handle everything from single specimen trees to full shrub-bed installations, working with your existing design or helping you plan a planting scheme that fits your vision and the Pacific Northwest climate.

Lawn Installation
Whether you're starting from bare dirt or replacing a tired lawn, Summit installs sod and seed with the prep work that makes the difference. We grade and prepare the soil properly before anything goes in — because a beautiful lawn starts two inches below the surface. We offer sod installation for immediate results and seeding for new construction and large areas, and we'll recommend the right grass variety for your sun exposure, soil type, and how you use your yard.

Artificial Turf Installation
Modern artificial turf looks better and lasts longer than it ever has — and it's become one of the most requested upgrades for Pacific Northwest properties where rainfall and shade make natural grass a constant battle. Summit installs artificial turf with proper base preparation, drainage layers, and seaming that stays invisible over time. The result is a surface that stays green year-round, requires no mowing, and holds up to kids, pets, and Pacific Northwest weather.

Summit builds and installs raised garden beds and planters in a range of materials — cedar, composite, stone, and steel — sized and positioned to work with your yard, your sunlight, and how you plan to use them. We also handle soil fill and amendments so your beds are ready to plant the day we finish.

Your Softscape & Planting Questions, Answered
-
Spring and early fall are ideal for seeding. Sod can be installed year-round in the Pacific Northwest, though summer installation requires more watering during establishment. We'll time your project to give it the best start.
-
Most sod roots within 2–3 weeks with proper watering. We'll walk you through the establishment care schedule before we leave the job.
-
In most cases, no — proper artificial turf installation requires removing the existing lawn and preparing a compacted base layer. Skipping that step leads to uneven surfaces and drainage problems. We do it right.
